PARENTS AREA

Welcome to our Parent's Area

At Greencoat nursery we love to have a strong bond with all our families. Parents are involved at every stage of their child’s time within our nursery.

We aim and strive to have an outstanding relationship with our parents and families . Essential to our success is having these positive relationships between the nursery, parents, carers and families.

This relationship is crucial to the well being, development and progress of your child.

During your time here at Greencoat nursery, we will support, encourage and promote a two way flow of information, knowledge and expertise.

We fully understand that parents/carers and their children come as whole package. Therefore, we firmly believe in building these positive relationships with our children and their families. So the more we know about you and your child, and the more you know about us. It will enable us to be more successful in creating strong partnerships that is fully supportive to your child.

My son has settled in very well with the help of the friendly and helpful staff. Parents are kept well informed about the progress of their child via the excellent app. Communication from staff is well delivered.

Learning Journals

At Greencoat Nursery we continue to use our shared learning journals between home and school through an online system called Blossom. The learning journal records your children’s progress throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Our online learning journals is to encourage parental engagement by sharing daily observations of their child’s experiences, learning and achievements. It also gives us both glimpses of moments from home and nursery, we can write about comments we’ve seen and the moments we’ve shared.

Spare Clothes

Children enjoy messy play and even though we try our best to encourage them to wear an apron, children may sometimes need a change of clothes.

Parents will need to provide spare clothes for their child on a daily basis. This will be kept in their bag on their pegs.
