Welcome to Greencoat Nursery
Choosing a nursery is a big decision, and we'd love to help you find the right one. Greencoat Nursery is a teacher-led group of three nurseries in Birmingham: Sparkhill, at Greencoat House on Stratford Road (B11); Billesley, inside the Malachi Centre on Yardley Wood Road, by Billesley Common (B13); and Bearwood, on Sandon Road near Bearwood High Street (B17). As a not-for-profit we have a number of services which assist our families, and our caring, experienced teams make every day safe, happy and full of learning.
Our Sparkhill site welcomes babies and children from 9 months to 5 years, and Billesley and Bearwood welcome children aged 2 to 5. We accept 15 and 30 funded hours, and at Sparkhill eligible working families can use their 30 hours from 9 months. We are open term time only (closed in school holidays and on bank holidays): Sparkhill Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, Billesley 9am to 3pm and Bearwood 8am to 5pm. Sparkhill also runs a minibus pick-up and drop-off service.
All three nurseries are registered with Ofsted. Billesley was rated Good in all areas in April 2024. At their latest inspections, Sparkhill (April 2026) and Bearwood (July 2026) met the expected standard in all six areas, and safeguarding standards were met.

Outdoor Area
We have a beautiful outdoor area with 4 different surfaces including artificial grass, planting area and a rubbered play area.
Competitive Prices
2,3,4 year old government grant funding accepted including 30 hours childcare.

Quality Childcare
Highly qualified team with a wide range of knowledge and experience. All at Level 3 and above, over half of our team are educated to degree level.
Minibus
We have our own 17-seater minibus. We offer a pick up and drop off service and do a number of outings during the day.
Experienced SENCO
Our onsite SEN team is experienced in supporting children with additional needs and learning difficulties.
First Aid Trained
All staff are Paediatric First Aid trained and hold a Level 2 in Food Hygiene.
Partnership with Parents
A robust key worker system in place to enable positive parent partnerships for the best support for each child.
